Yellow Man

I've believed in God my whole entire life, and my faith is strong. I've been writing songs since I was eight years old, but this is my first song that's ever been about God. Kinda came outta nowhere for me, but I like it.

Yellow Man
Written by Melody Rose Hartman

Butterflies, well you know they fly
And that sun up there, well he'll always shine
We have long late night conversations
He holds my hand and guides me to my destination

How beautiful, just beautiful

He tells be about what's on the other end of the rainbow
On the otherside yeah I'll be graced with a halo
I stroll through the flowers, brush my porcelain hand across the tall grass
Oh you know I got a love, a love that i'm sure will last

How beautiful, just beautiful

A man came to me in the shade of yellow
Showed me that I don't have to let go
I painted a smile on my face and sparkled my eyes
Just this simplest things make you realize that it's a beautiful life.

How beautiful, just beautiful

Star Alignment

A song I wrote for my darling boyfriend<3

Star Alignment
Written by Melody Rose Hartman

up late at night with nothing to do
a pen in my hand and my mind on you
i look up at the sky and wonder if you
see the star alignment as i do

646 miles apart
but i keep you locked up in my heart
so i know you're not too far away
promise me you'll never go away
tell me you're always gonna stay
til the world explodes
and it's pieces just float
around and around the atmosphere
see this feeling i got right here
i want to hold on to it and never let it go
my mind rushes faster but my heart beats slow
and i'm just

up late at night with nothing to do
a pen in my hand and my mind on you
i look up at the sky and wonder if you
see the star alignment as i do

feet on the ground sitting on the edge of my chair
with the bright moonlight and a breeze through my hair
see the stars remind me of you 'cause they're miles away but i see them clear
i always know they're right here
and even on the coldest night
i know they're out there shining bright
just like you do
i'll sum this up with an i love you

up late at night with nothing to do
a pen in my hand and my mind on you
i look up at the sky and wonder if you
see the star alignment as i do

and i'ma put the pen away
but you're still on my mind like everyday
so every night i want you to
look outside and see the stars the way i do
and i'll probably be

up late at night with nothing to do
a pen in my hand and my mind on you
i look up at the sky and wonder if you
see the star alignment as i do

Black Widow

Black Widow
Written by Melody Rose Hartman

staring out a french door window
as i admire that old black widow
a lyrical violin on her back
when she's done with her man she kills him such a sweet attack, it is
i see sun spots in my mind
the beautiful sun how it can blind

oh and i see the storm coming on
she hangs on to her web so strong
cause that's her home it's all she has
cause she forgot about that violin on her back

the wind picks up and the rain comes
mother nature what have you done
i watch her hold on to her masterpeice she just can't let go
but you cant stop that wind when it wants to blow
just tumble down down down
the world spins around and round
aint no stopping it at all
but are you really gonna let yourself fall

oh and i see the storm coming on
she hangs on to her web so strong
cause that's her home it's all she has
cause she forgot about that violin on her back

but darling don't you forget about that
violin rested on your back
waiting on you
to just do what you do
don't, please don't live in black and white
try to find a way to see the light
there's gotta be a damn silver lining in that cloud
and that sun, i'm telling you he's gotta come back out

oh i see the sun coming on
she builds her web back up strong
that's her home but it's not all she has
as long as she remembers that violin on her back
